Why can't I retrieve my emails?

I'm having so much problems with my tablet that i will probaly have to do a factory reset, which i really didn't want to do but until i can back up all my data can anyone help me get my e-mail back to normal. When i enter e-mail all i see is a panel telling me what e-mails i have etc but i can't retrieve any of them, it just seems to be stuck on the panel and won't do anything else. I would appriate any feed back - thankyou

Try wiping the cache partition, which can help with various issues: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-16226

If that doesn't help, try removing the email accounts and adding them back again.
