why can't I see the chrome browser windows tab on my note 4

hey guys. I am having an issue on my note 4 chrome browser. it doesn't show me the windows tab on the top that shows how many windows I have open in the browser? please help

You don't have a square at the top upper right with a number?

Can you post a screenshot of your chrome?

Check your settings and make sure you have Merge tabs and apps off. This is a new Lollipop setting. I am using it but when I first received the Lollipop update I wondered why I could not see all my tabs from the browser page. You can see those pages from the open apps button. This setting makes each chrome window look like its own app.

Thank you SO much, Janet! I, too, just assumed that this was some weird new function of Lolipop. I never even considered that it might be a simple setting adjustment. I am very happy to have to tabs back. Thanks again!

This was one of the worst "features" that came with Lollipop. Thankfully, they gave the option to revert back.

That lasted about 5 seconds for me because when I opened chrome, I was back to the home page. I never even looked in the recent apps to see if other pages were there.

Open Chrome, tap the menu icon, (3 dots in the upper right corner), then tap Settings. Merge Tabs and Apps is the 2nd setting from the top.

You're welcome. I remember my first night with Lollipop and I was in a store. I needed to research an item and I could not find all my tabs. I Googled the issue and learned about merge tabs and apps. I turned it off, but only for a few minutes. I turned it back on and now I am used to it.
