I can receive messages but cant send them

Hello. Welcome to Android Central.

Has this started happening lately, or the device is new.

Are you sending plain text or mms.

Try Message app - Menu - Settings - Input Mode, automatic - and Creation mode - Free.
It may also be some apn or mms settings.

Also - Connections - More Networks - default Messaging app.

There can be other reasons I can't think of, so come back.

Hi, I am using the using the Samsung s5. I have the same problem, but I fix it with off/on the device.

Hi i have same problem when i buy the new s5 but i fix it by using this method you should try it Connections - More Networks - default Messaging app.
