AC Question

I cant sign into my Google Account after I removed it

First my Play Store stopped working at all.
So I tried removing and then readding my Google Account
I removed it but now I can't readd it.
It says Error Please Try Again
I tried about 50 times over the last 4-so days and it isn't working.
This is quite serious as I have a ton of work on that account
Plz Help

Would ReSetting the Phone Help
Also, it is a Nexus 5

Re: I cant sign into my Google Account after I removed it

Last time mine acted up like this I went on my computer and reset my gmail password (even though it was right). Then reentered in my phone and it accepted.

Worth a try.

Welcome to Android Central! Also, make sure you don't have 2-step authentication for your Google account turned on.

If you change your Google password, be aware that you might have to wait 72 hours before you can log back into your phone. https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/41078?hl=en

Re: I cant sign into my Google Account after I removed it

Hi Thanks for the answers. I am the original poster. ffejj, i tried changing the password and that just made it even worse, now my tablet says i have to reauthenticate as well as my phone so now i have 2 not-working devices. The actual words are " Sorry there seems to be a problem. Please try again later".

B. Diddy, 2 step authentication was already off since the beginning. So now cause I changed my password I cant redo it for 72 hours?

Re: I cant sign into my Google Account after I removed it

I believe so, although I've never tried this myself.

Done this on more than one occasion and could sign in a minute later. Now the last time I've done it is probably a year ago so things may have changed.

Yeah, I think that 72 hour thing is new within the past year or so.
