Why can't I unlock my phone after password change, software was just updated 2 days ago?

cant unlock phone after password change software was just updated 2 days ago

I have the samsung s5 software was just updated to andriod 5.0 two days ago. I removed the password/pin on the phone last night and put a new one on. Now it will not accept the new password or the old. I have tried several times, I have also charged phone, restarted phone and removed battery for 20+ minutes. It still will not let me in. Any ideas how I can get it unlocked?

You can sign in to Android Device Manager with the gmail address you have tied to the phone and possibly reset the password that way.
