Why can't I upgrade my Galaxy Tab 4?

My Galaxy Tab 4 seems to be stuck at Android 5.0.2 and I see no apparent way to upgrade it any further. How can I find out if this is the limit for this tablet?

You can go to http://sammobile.com and enter your model number on the firmware search to see what versions are available. Most likely - that's the end of the line for official updates on that model.
