Why can't I view links in Forums?

Hi.

I can't view links that members post. I get the " [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]"

As long as I was logged into AC, I was always able to view them. It's seems that I haven't been able to view them since the website changed.

Does anyone know why I can't view them now?

Are you signed in? Check your settings and make sure you have logged in.

I put in my username and password and it says 'Welcome, AmousmosesMW'.

I also have subscribed to some threads with instant email notification and I am not receiving those emails either????

Try clearing your cookies and see if that does it.

Are you sure you're logged into the 'Forums'? I've had weird occurrences where I'll be logged into the main AC page but not the forums, and vice-versa.

[edit]whups... in hindsight, I'm guessing you would have to be if you were able to post in the forums. Clear all cookies and cache in your browser.

I cleared out everything and still no go.

I think I have figured out how it broke, but still don't know how to fix it....

I had updated my email address a few days ago. I got an email from AC telling me that I had to verify my new email address. It provided me with a link and told me I would need to type in my username and activation number on the page that appears when I visit the url link.

Well, the link took me to the Create New Account / Login Page. The only option it let me do was to Log in. No where does it ask me for the activation number in the email. So... I am thinking that is why I am not having my problems.

I tried to recreate the situation by changing my email back to what it was, but that didn't change anything.

I will email the support address that was in the email and see if someone there can help me.

Seriously, it's probably a cookies thing. I'd make sure you're logged out from both the site and the forums. The delete your cookies, and double-check to make sure there's nothing left over from admin.androidcentral.com.

I'm getting frustrated :'(
I can only think that it 'has to' do with the activation code that was sent to me when I updated my email address.... But as I mentioned before, when I followed the link in the email, there was no place to put the activation code (which btw is a realllllllyyyyyy long code).

I had the same issue with the activation code a few weeks ago, except it locked me out of the forums altogether (could log in, but couldn't post, and all my old posts showed me as a regular member). No amount of cookie clearing helped, and it took some black magic form Cory to get it working again.

I am having the same issue. I received an email with a link and verification code, but when I go to the link there is not an area to input the verification code?
