Why did my app notifications stop working after the recent update on my Galaxy Note 9?

Specifically on my Etsy Seller app I am no longer receiving the app notifications. The "cha-ching" is the one I want to work the most. Since the update, all of my general notifications that I allow from the apps all come through as my "default" notification. They are all the same. It worked just fine before the update.

Also I do not get my notifications on the screen until I push the main button. Then everything comes through at once. I think it's the sleep screen that stays blank? I don't know why older versions had no issue with this but new phone struggles?

Unfortunately it's a very common problem affecting most recent Android phones. If you want instant notifications on your phone, you should buy an iPhone (or Android phones at least 4 years old which are not running a recent OS). You may find some remedies in the thread below:
