AC Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge+ that up until today used to display my priority senders at the top of my text messages. They have disappeared and I cannot get them back. When I go to "more" in the messages app and select "Add priority senders" my list of contacts displays and I select one or more and hit "done" and then a little message box says "____ is already a priority sender". The little icons that used to be at the top of my text messages for quick selection of a contact are not there and it's very annoying. I've tried to restore defaults in application manager and restarting the phone but that didn't work. Was there an update last night? I don't see why these would all of a sudden disappear...

My note 5 did the same thing. I went to application manager and cleared everything for the messages..then I was able to reset the senders

I had never seen the Priority Senders on my S6 but while I was setting up my new S7 I saw it and loved the feature. Unfortunately when I transferred all of my text messages over from my S6 to my S7 the P.S. feature disappeared. Like you I tried to re-add some priority senders with no success, getting the same error msg you got. I was really frustrated. Then I tried something else. Since it said those contacts were already in my P.S. list I tried one that wasn't in there. I added 611 (t-mobile help). And wham, bam, thank you ma'am! The P.S. banner re-appeared!!! Woo hoo! So try that.
