Why didn't google remove the 3.5mm headphone input?

The traditional headphone jack may be old technology, but it is still convenient, useful and important to me and many other people that I know. The 3.5mm audio jack works and works well; and there are a variety of accessories at every price level.

The lady in the cubicle next to me at work has the IP7, she has to charge it every day because she forgets to at night. She used to sit with the phone plugged in with youtube videos going all day but not now, she can't, she has to stop listening to stuff while she charges. Seems stupid to me.

That's one reason I didn't purchase the iPhone 7; no headphone jack!

My ex boyfriend said that there are some iPhone cases that house an audio jack component snd you just plug and go. I dont think he was talking about those huge dongles either.

I like having the headphone jack, I actually find wireless ones very annoying. yes the sound quality is better but it hurts my ears and you have all the hassle of connecting it to bluetooth and making sure it's charged etc. I have dre beats and I haven't used them for a year because it's been more of a hindrance to me. I'd be very disappointed if Samsung were to ever remove this.

Actually, the quality of the signal output through the wired connection is far better (though if you use cheap earbuds you may lose out on it). This is in part because it the limited data bandwidth over Bluetooth, and in part because the DAC in the Bluetooth headset will almost certainly be inferior to the one in the Pixel.
