Why didn't you choose Edge?

I saw the same thread in the Edge forum so I'm curious why everyone chose the regular S6 over the Edge?.

I'm not sure why I did really. I guess to save a few bucks. But I spent over $800 so a bit more really wouldn't have been that significant. I'm 2nd guessing my decision now but don't want to pay a restocking fee to exchange it.

Personally, I thought it didn't look as good as the simple S6. The sides didn't do anything that made me want to spend more money. Not impressed at all. Happy with my S6.

I actually did choose the Edge at first but came to the realization holding it wasn't worth the cool look of the curved screen. The extra features really dont do much for me either although I do like using the edge clock at night. Might not be much to some but I also prefer typing on the S6.

After holding both numerous times at BB I went with the S6 and the cost savings helped in my decision as well. The "edge" looked cool but I knew the "cool" factor would wear off soon enough and id be stuck with an uncomfortable phone to hold. The regular S6 was more comfy holding, Just my opinion.

I have an edge but will be likely returning it for a regular or keeping my note 4. The curved edges lead to a lot of accidental screen presses while surfing the Web, typing or both. Very frustrating!

In that case, I think you should get the s6.

Even the feel in the hand feels more premium and solid with the GS6 than the Edge. The bezel edges were not sharp but were distinctly there and felt awkward in the hand with the Edge.

This is exactly what I thought. I'm bringing my Edge back tomorrow and getting a regular S6. Feels almost fragile, too.

I actually did choose the Edge at first. Just got back from the T-Mo where I traded for a 64GB regular S6 though. Much better in-hand feel and twice the storage for $20 less? Definitely the right choice.

It's all a matter of preference really. I did choose the Edge but I actually thought it felt better than the S6. Never felt like the edges were too sharp, etc. To each their own though.

I was all set on the edge but ping ponged back and forth between the S6 and the edge all week. In the end, I came to the conclusion that once the cool factor faded, all of the annoying things would magnify and I'd end up regretting my purchase. Looks fade - personality lasts.

Tried the demo in person and did not like the edge display and how it feels in hand. Got the regular S6 instead.

1. The money factor.
2. Not comfortable in the hand.
3. Didn't look as if the curved screen could be adequately protected without covering it up.

Initially I was considering the edge, but decided the functionality of the edge features was no where near the extra cost and even the aesthetics of the curved design still was grabbing me enough to pay the extra as I figured that bling novelty feature was going to wear off all to fast. Then with the talk of the screen brightness issue a lot were having I decided to order the regular S6. whether the brightness issue would have even been a problem for me I have no clue, but the additional cost just wasn't justified in my opinion for my needs. TBH, not sure I'd of even gotten it if it was the same price.
