Why do I geg pop ups every time I open my phone

[Android Central Question]

So everytime I open my Phone (A8 2018) I get random pop ups instantaneously when I open task manager there are no other apps or web browsers opened just the ad which has a smiley face icon

Do they persist in Safe Mode?

Welcome to Android Central! You most likely installed adware alongside some other app. Uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away.
