why do I get a little yellow triangle when my phone ain't on?

[Android Central Question]

I haven't dropped my phone in the toilet or in any water substance.My phone died today and I plugged the charger in and the triangle popped up out of no were.

Make sure the charging port is free of debris and undamaged. Also try a different cable and charger if you can.

Welcome to Android Central! If it persists after cleaning out the charging port and trying different charging cables/plugs, then the battery has probably failed. You'd have to bring it to a repair shop.
