Why do I have a recurring phantom alarm?

Nexus 6 running 7.0, fully updated.

I've got an alarm that I just noticed within the past couple of days that's constantly running and resetting. It sets itself for generally 10-20 min in the future, resetting once it passes with no visible effect. When I first turn the phone on, it sets itself for 50ish minutes into the future, then shifts shortly thereafter to the usual 10-20 minutes. When I click on the alarm icon on the pulled-down status pane, the phone registers with the haptic feedback that I've selected something, but nothing happens on the screen besides the status pane closing.

When I go into"Clock" it shows the alarm under the time, but noting on the actual alarm list. I've tried clearing the cache and even disabling Clock to no effect.

The last app installed on both our phones (my wife's phone is identical and doing the same thing) was the Weight Gurus app, but deleting that and restarting showed no effect in the phantom alarm behavior.

I've tried setting a DND rule for 2 min 2 min in the future, but after that expired the alarm behavior was still the same.

Head to settings... Accessibility... Reminders...
You may have some persistent notification going on...

Thanks, but I don't see that as an option under Accessibility. Are you sure that's present on straight Nougat on a Nexus 6?

Yep, nothing doing. Closest is an alert reminder under cell broadcast alerts, which wasn't on and doesn't appear to have any effect.

Sorry, I have an S7 edge. Apparently the layout and naming convention is totally different.

Turn that alarm on, then off.
That has helped to fix many apps in Android.

You're not going on a Disney Cruise by any chance? I started getting this alarm two days ago and finally nailed down the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app as the culprit.

You nailed it! Been running that app for awhile, this must have been recently broken in an update. Thank you for restoring my sanity :-)

Yes! I was having this problem, too! Uninstalling the DCL Navigator app fixed it. I don't really need it until November, anyway.

I had the same problem and it ended up being "Fabulous", a self-care app, reminding me to drink water in the morning.

Me too! I have a phantom alarm, which showed up yesterday but I don't know what I did to make it show up. It said it was set for today at 9:45am so I sat down with my phone at 9:44am to see what happened, and nothing happened except that the alarm changed to Sunday at 9:45am. What is this?? There are no notification reminder options to be found in settings. I didn't install any apps yesterday and since it didn't do anything except reset itself 24 hours in the future I didn't get any clues. I have an LGV35 so Android 8 I think, but this thread is exactly the same thing. I have neither of those apps mentioned. How can I go about finding out which app has done this?
Edited to add, in case this helps anybody else - I have an app called Do It Later which sends my kid a text every day to take a daily medication. It didn't used to show up as an alarm but now it does. As soon as it sends that text it sets another alarm for the next day. Silly me.

It's February 2020 and I'm also getting these alarms!

Been bugging me for months, but I think I may have nailed it, so this may help others, maybe not.

I had been getting notification alerts at random times throughout the day (turquoise screen, with red letters) as well as my regular alarms.

I couldn't work out what app was doing was flashing up turquoise though, but could dismiss it, so it was a minor inconvenience.

Fast forward until my "Samsung SGS9" finally upgraded to "Android Pie" early February 2020 and I was still getting alerts at random times throughout the day, but now had no way to dismiss them.

Totally infurating and the only way to stop them was to restart the phone!

Anyhoo, was digging around in the settings after coming across this post and noted something "Svavar123" said about the "Fabulous" self-care app.

I have a similar app, "AquaAlert" and low and behold, this long forgotten app had reminders set for certain times of day.

When I looked into the android app settings for "AquaAlert", the "Notifications" were "Blocked"!

But, what I also discovered when I searched the phones "Settings", weas that there was a setting called "Reminders" and it had "Notifications" turned off (Blocked) too.

I have since sorted these two things out and await to see if it cures my infuriating issue!
