Why do I have constant looping at start?

Constant looping at start

New to this guys so sorry if you have seen this before... Went to power my tab on and it was totally dead..disconnected battery connecter (as seen on youtube) got power ok (but only when connected to wall) but now constantly rebooting at the Samsung tab 3 screen, tried the HOME/VOL UP + PWR button = no change still reboots, tried just Vol UP and PWR button = no change still rebooting Please help

Plug the battery back in. Plug the charger in. Leave the tab charging - and off - for 24 hours.

If it doesn't come back, have a shop measure the battery voltage. If it's dead, you'll need a new battery. If not, we'll try to help you from there.

Thx for the reply so you want me to leave the tab plugged in for 24 hrs then un-plugged for 24hrs ?

Your tablet cannot boot if the battery is low or nearly empty. Based on your description, it's only ON when connected to adapter, and the tablet cannot boot without enough battery power. Use this tool which you can buy easily on Ebay:
usb current and voltage tester | eBay
-0 Volt to under 5 Volts=bad adapter
-0 Amp to under 1.5 Amps when charging: something wrong with adapter, USB cable, or USB charging port, or battery, or connector, or mainboard. If battery is full, current will drop under 1 Amp.



Make sure you have a reading of at least 5 -->5.2 Volts, 1.5 -->1.7 Amps at the USB tester, and press the Home Button, you should see the green battery icon which indicates it's charging. If you have zero Amp or under 1.5 Amps or it's reading goes up and down, then you have either bad adapter or bad cable or bad USB charging port or open, cracked battery connector. You have to test one by one to see which one is the problem in order: adapter, USB cable, USB charging port . Battery connector is the last one to inspect if all others are working fine. After finish all tests without finding any problem, then you can start running battery test to see how much it drops after certain time.Good battery should not drop more than 20% with heavy loads in 1 hour.
You have to do one by one methodically, start where the power in and end , otherwise you will never know where the problem comes from.
This is my guess:
-50 %: bad USB cable or adapter, but cable is more likely.
-50 % : bad or damaged USB charging port.
-20 %: bad battery, the older your tablet, the more likely.
-20 % : bad battery connector.
-5 %: bad mainboard.
Again, this tablet will run in a boot loop when the battery is low and doesn't have enough power to start the system. Remove the battery and power on with adapter power, it only shows you the green battery icon and will never boot. Tablet cannot run directly with AC power like laptop.



If your booting loop is not related to power issue or charging, then it's different problem and can be fixed by reloading firmware and software in Recovery Mode or Download Mode.

You should order a new USB Flexible PCB (FPCB) which has the micro USB port. In the life time of your tablet, sooner or later, you will need to replace it.
Tab 3 7.0, micro USB port is soldered to main board.
Tab 3 8.0 and 10.1, micro USB port is in FPCB.
