AC Question

Just got the new, and awful, update for my Galaxy s6 and now I need to swipe my screen AND enter my pass code just to unlock my phone. Can this be fixed? Can't find anything in the settings after extensive searching.

Welcome to Android Central! This has been brought up several times recently in the forums. The swipe-then-password steps are actually standard on "stock" Android (on Nexus devices). Some phones have a system setting to turn off the swipe part (like the ASUS ZenFone 2), but if you can't find that option on the S6, then it's not possible. If you use Smart Lock or the fingerprint sensor, I believe that can bypass the whole swipe issue.

Welcome to Android Central!

Are you not using the fingerprint scanner on the phone?
