Why do I have to turn off my Galaxy Note 3 to charge it?

hi ive just got a Samsung galaxy note 3 and ive noticed I have to turn the phone off to charge it plus it vibrates when charging

You shouldn't have to do this! Perhaps something is wrong with the device? Maybe contact Samsung.....

It is a Samsung charger that you are using? A charger without the correct amperage output may not charge a device properly.
