Google play service won't run unless you update google play service

I just updated my LG G2. Everything seems to work fine except for the notification message that keeps popping up. When I click on this message the screen just goes white and nothing else seems to happen. Also my Facebook won't work. The app opens and the top "bar" appears, but again nothing seems to happen. It just keeps loading. Can these to problems be related? Any tips on how to fix them?

You could try clearing cache for the download manager in settings - apps - "all" tab. Reboot your phone after that and see if that helps. There's a trick to force Play services update. Go to the Play Store and download Android wear. Once you confirm that Play services are updated to the latest version you can uninstall Android wear.
