Why do I lose both photos when deleting in my gallery?

I have been trying to get photos out of gallery but when I try to delete them I lose both photos when deleting in my gallery help me please it say if I go to delete photos that all that are synced will be deleted as well how can I change this from happening?Let me know when you get a chance to SOON PLEASE OKAY ,Sincerely, LEANNA Williams

Which version of android?
Which carrier?
Which "gallery" app?
Which app and service are your using to sync the photos?

When you say "both photos" do you mean the copy on your phone and the copy in the cloud service?
