Why do I no longer receive push notifications after turning on Ultra Power Saving Mode

I recently turned on Ultra Power Saving mode (for my Samsung Galaxy S9) as I forgot my charger at home on a work trip. After turning UPS mode off, I realized I wasn't receiving any push notifications for any apps. This is especially painful because I need to get Microsoft Outlook notifications every time I get an email. And before you ask, yes I restarted my device and made sure push notifications were turned on . What settings/configurations do i need to change in order change this back? Thanks

It probably turned accounts sync off for everything to save power. You would just need to go in to the accounts settings under settings and turn sync back on.

It's kinda in the description...ultra power saving mode! It disables virtually everything other than screen, network, texts and calls.
