incoming calls set my ringtone to mute

I have a samsung galaxy 6 and all incoming calls are setting my ringtone to mute. I put my ringtone volume as high as it will go. Then I call my phone. Sometimes it will ring once with volume before it magically sets my ringtone to mute, but regardless..... ever incoming call sets my ringtone to mute by the 2nd or 3rd ring.

I've turned gestures off.

I have no updates for the phone.

No recently added apps.

Power saving is turned off.

I'm at a loss. Please help.

Re: incoming calls set my ringtone to mute

Settings > Sounds and Notifications > Sound Mode
Make sure it's not on mute
also make sure you don't have " Do Not disturb" enabled

I have the same problem. I continually change Sound Mode to either vibrate or ring and all looks good until the next call comes in then it reverts to mute (which, of course, means I miss the call). Do Not Disturb is set to off. The volumes are above zero (sometimes I set them to max, but doesn't make a difference - in the end, on the next call-in, it reverts to mute). This is frustrating. Any other ideas?

I also faced exactly same issue in my Lenovo S850 mobile. Struggled almost 2 weeks...! This happened due to one app called "Call and SMS blocker" in my mobile since long time back. This app starts from boot up and mute incoming call ringtone. After uninstalled, it works fine...! In your mobile also same type of such app which access call and SMS. Uninstall that app and try..! Good luck..!
