Why do my phone send multiple text?

I send 1 text message and my son received 62.

Welcome to Android Central! It's pretty common for SMS messages to be received as duplicates, although it's usually no more than 4-5 times. 62 is a bit excessive. It's probably a network issue -- contact your carrier and see if they have any ideas.
