No, these are links I'm getting from the guy in the next cubicle over. We had that argument all day. The biggest lag points I had were immediately after startup, backing out of the music app, the gallery app, scrolling through long walls of text and on the home screen with more than a couple widgets in place.

Well, I'm not seeing lag in the gallery app on my sister's Note 3 or my BF's GS3.

Like the evidence you provided that top-tier android phones outsold iPhones? You showed nothing but an editorial piece. But then again, you do have an obvious bias.

Definitely advertisement, Galaxy is definitely overrated.
there are so many LG, HTC phones that have pretty much same features with cheaper prices. Again it's the biggest companies that win.

Lol. Did you even read the article you posted? You folks are hilarious. It days in the article it's on Android devices devoid of play store and that you won't even run into it as long as you use the play store primarily for apps! I can't believe you are serious.

You can read a new post about Android Malware pretty much every week since it came out.

A lot more people use Android than iOS...so it makes sense instances of malware are greater. However, the malware issue has been greatly exaggerated for Android. That is why you had to scramble to 2011 to find an example of it.

I don't think it's just marketing. Samsung was not marketing heavily early on, and the Galaxy phones still became popular. They delivered what people wanted.

Apple should thank god every day for Touchwiz. If Samsung ever abandoned Touchwiz and went back to vanilla Android, they would absolutely crush Apple. They are already almost doing it even with their current products.

Where as apples latest earnings report was their best to date. I'm not saying apple is better, or android is bad. Just pointing out that, even though people like to think apple isn't doing good because of their low market share, doesn't mean it true. Market share=/= success. Apple is the worlds most successful company, and have the highest market value of any company.

iOS is more secure than Android, but problems on android are greatly reduced if users stay within the Play Store.

LOL - I've seen the marketshare and sales numbers, which is what matters in this context. Even with the touchwiz pollution, Samsung is selling phones by the boatload. They actually sell more smartphones than Apple does.

It's great that they are able to make a lot of money. It's not evidnece that people actually prefer their phones to Samsung. sales figures don't lie.

It does in the long term. Even Apple thinks so. Why else have they reversed their stance on many major issues? They are now producing Phablets after poo-pooing them for years. The exact same thing happened with small tablets, which they said no one would want because there was no market for them...enter the iPad Mini. They added Widgets...they are allowing custom wallpapers and keyboards. Why would they reverse their stance on these things if they do not care about the competition?

Android is directly responsible for these things. They are things Apple would never have done, IMO, unless they thought they had no choice.

I remember a time when Apple people laughed at the idea of Android ever passing up the iPhone. Then they laughed at the idea of Android tablets outselling iPads. Their laughter sounds a lot more forced nowadays though.
