Why do you choose Android?

Re: Why you choose Android?

1. Android is more customizable
2. Micro-USB chargers are everywhere
3. Play Store is bigger than App Store
4. You can replace your phone battery

Re: Why you choose Android?

I guess the answer is: because there is no better alternative. I do use Apple products (MacBook Pro, Mac mini, iPad, Apple TV) but for some reason I don't like the iPhone. iOS is very restricted, for example you cannot see the file system, data transfer needs to be done via horrible iTunes, etc. Also the screen size had been ridiculously small, until the iPhone 6 Plus. Windows Phone is marginal and I would never want a Windows in my phone (or my computer, for that matter) anyway. Also the diversity of Android devices is huge! There are so many devices to choose from.

I was an at&t iPhone
You pay for everything
So I switched to tmobile and android
I never looked back
I like android much easier for a none techie to use
Specially my note4 now
I dont know if i will ever buy any phone smaller then this screen
Love it i tell ya

I really don't like Apples politics regarding pricing customization etc.. WIndows phone simply has not enough Apps. So the only thing left is an Android device ;)

Customization and the choices available.

With an Android phone, I can customize my phone according to my specifications and with the plethora of Android devices, there's a lot of choice to be had. I can pick one with a sealed battery or one that's removable, have one with 64GB of internal storage but no expandable-storage or pick one that has 32GB of internal storage but has a microSD card slot, a plastic or metal construction, the choice of Stock, Sense, TouchWiz, LG UX, and there's more.

Simply, the beauty of Android is the plethora of options available, and it was the main reason I went with Android.

I've used a BlackBerry for years, and have used my Nexus 5 for over a year now. I love both platforms. I chose Android for a new experience, and am absolutely loving it so far. I choose Android because I like that they have a plethora of options available - not just the "same-looking" brand every time a new phone comes out, like the iPhone(ie, similar form factor, etc.) - and I can get a phone that maybe not everyone has, so I feel like I'm not a follower. I like doing my own thing.

Re: Why you choose Android?

I strongly think iPhones are overpriced , Android phones are worth for their price. Btw i want to give windows phone a try (never used one).

Re: Why you choose Android?

Because Android is like a mini pc/laptop/computer or whatever.

You don't need an external pc to any thing. unlike its competitor.

Re: Why you choose Android?

Partially because developing for apple costs 99/year as opposed android's 25 for life. Android has a much lower starting investment for devs.

Re: Why you choose Android?

I like the freedom android offers. For most phones adding/removing data is a lot easier, by that I mean I can handle it easier manually. I dislike how iPhone for example forces to sync the majority of your media. Can't really say anything about windows phone as I haven't had the chance yet to try them out.

Cause I got sick of Blackberry's blunders and the Crackberry fanboy ignorance.

Via my HTC One M9...

Well as a developer I can just reach more people on the android platform. I was a Windows Phone developer (and owner) before and it was great fun. The greatest advantages (for a developer) on android is that it has a lot of freedom and possibilities for developing, a great dev-community and a huge amount of users. As an android user I like the great amount of apps and its highly customizable
