Why do you choose Android?

I like Android because is more flexible than other OS, but some devices (like Samsung S6) are becoming an Apple's copy (no SD card slot, not battery removable, etc.), soooo... I think some Android devices are changing dangerously.

Me too. Everything I wanted to do cosmetically to my old iPhone 4 had to be done via jailbreak. And iTunes is god awful.

I was on BB and loved it but I needed better Google app integration for work. About a year ago my Z10 went into a reboot loop and I had to replace it immediately. I went to TMO just before they closed and bought a Nexus 5.

I loved the integration for Google drive for work. Later I was able to fix the Z10 (it was a corrupt SD card). But I stayed on the Nexus 5 because I liked the customization and the performance. I missed the hub and active frames but I enjoyed having widgets.

When the Nexus 6 came out I decided that was the device for me. I bought the 5 as an emergency replacement but the 6 I bought because I wanted it. I'm still enjoying the experience. The cost of the phone was reasonable for what you get. It's very customizable. It's very fast. It has great Google integration.

I just don't like apple products. But I'm keeping an eye on windows and BB to see what they do next.

I really can't stand itunes. We have it for the various ipods we've owned over the years and I simply hate it. I also don't really care for apple's price gouging. Millions of people put up with it, but I'm not one of them. My ipod nano 4th Gen has 16 gigs for $199 originally, and they are still launching Items with 16gigs while charging an arm and a leg. Fortunately, Motorola makes great ergonomic hardware, they don't price gouge, and their original software is truly beneficial.
If I had to choose between a Samsung or and apple phone, I'd probably end up getting an apple. Fortunately, I don't have to.

I chose Android phone because at the moment I'm happy with everything in it, from the work of the android operating system, its views, the number of applications for it and the fact that there are different pricing phones that run on Android. Before this was Nokia, which badly hampered. IPhone does not like the way the phone, I think it's just a very well advertised brand that is worth big money, but it does not justify the cost.

Android is like a free playground for tech buffs, anyone curious from average user to expert developers. In iOS you don't have the same freedom.
