Pretty small list nowadays. When I first decided on Android it was because of the ROM scene which I haven't done for years, and a lot of capabilities iOS was missing until lately. Now I basically stick with android because I prefer the file management and ability to sideload apps official stores won't approve.

The amount of customization Android provides is unbeatable at the momeny. Even without rooting your phone there are tons of apps and customization apps that make your phone yours, not like iPhone where everyphone looks the same.

And once you root your phone, you're in customization heaven. you can block ads, remove bloat apps, backup data with backup apps like Titanium. So much that i'll root the phone first thing after i get it.

in short more control over what you want your phone to be and not just for general usage.

Only because of the fact that that everything is so simple.
You have much more opportunities than IOS and everything is open !
Also, I really like the robot

For me, Android is the most open operating system available to an end-user like me, this allows me to develop for it without any permissions etc, making games has never been easier, no need for XCode etc (for Apple devices), so yeah easy to work with!

Android isn't for everyone. iOS is okay out of the box. I don't feel that way about android and I've never been a fan of stock. I think with android you need to customize it and if you don't want to do that then I think iOS is a better choice. Now with launchers and icon packs and widgets Android is splendid. ...the cat's meow.

For what ever reason my ipad mini likes to restart its self. Apps sometimes crwsh.

Personally, I simply wanted to try something different other than iOS and see what Android offers. Even though this is all new to me and have a lot to glean from AC, I don't believe I made a mistake in doing so.

One thing I love about android is how easy it is to share files amongst my 3 phones with NFC. I can just simply send a file from one phone to the other 2 wirelessly using ES File Explorer. I use that routinely.

I chose android because it is easily customisable, it is possible to install custom ROMS and mainly because I can easily develop applications on it !

I choose to have an Android smartphone because it works better as phone than the iPhone does IMO.. I always have better cellular signal with my M8 vs an iPhone and the sound quality is better as well for voice! I like iOS which is why I have an iPad but the phone I don't think so! Been there, done that..

I think also all of my contacts are backed up to my email so if i get a new phone all i got to do is sign in.

I've really become addicted to being able to personalize my phones. I have one setup one day and can have something completely different the next. Its become fun and I've come to really enjoy that. I regret the effect that has had on my appreciation for iOS but it is what it is.
