Android Central Question

So I was scrolling through youtube and noticed a very tiny black dot appear in the left corner of my screen I was threatened to be hacked already and got hacked so I dont know if that has to do with it but it only happens like once a week or so it appears just next to my time and dissapears after like 30 seconds I'm on a Samsung A20 btw

Welcome to Android Central.

We'd have to have more information to really begin to answer your question but rest assured that you haven't been hacked. Not that it is very likely but a big portion of someone gaining access is not alert the person for whom you are trying to spy on so an indicator would be a silly thing to leave.

In the meantime without seeing this dot it is very hard to diagnose. It could be bad pixel. I had a tab with a bad pixel and it would go out randomly and then come back on just as randomly. Taking a screenshot won't show a bad pixel but it would be a tool to use to see if the issue is actually screen related or something really being displayed by the screen. So the next time it appears, try taking a screenshot. If the dot appears in the screenshot then there is really something there. If it does not appear in the screenshot then it is most likely a pixel. If it appears in the image then show us the image and we can go from there. If not consider getting it repaired.

I can't tell if this is an actual screenshot or a photo of the screen. If it is a photo of the screen I feel like it could be a ghost.

You say it comes and goes. Could it be that there are just times when you cannot see it, like if something else is displayed in that area? Honestly with as light colored as that is I'm more apt to believe it is screen burn-in vs an actual notification. That's so hard to see but perhaps it is brighter in real life. In the image you provided it only appears to be ghost of the indicator to the right. I'm guessing that you drew a line under it to draw attention, correct? I ask because if that is an icon that it would be another indication of screen burn. You might try and find a dark image to open full screen and see if that dot is present. You may also find that other notification bar images are ghosted in to the screen that are less visible.

Ghost/screen burn won't show in a screenshot. I just find it difficult to imagine something so light being an actual notification icon.
