Why does it go on galaxy theme when i want to change my wallpaper

[Android Central Question]

I go on settings and then I tap on wallpaper and themes then it takes me straight to galaxy theme I even tried holding down on my backround then trying to change my wallpaper by tapping the wallpaper and then it goes straight to galaxy themes I just want to have my own picture from my gallery please help

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to Settings>Apps, then tap Menu>Reset App Preferences. Now try selecting a wallpaper again. Does it still automatically go to the Themes manager?

Interesting. If you punch on the image options in gallery you can still set as a wallpaper on home and lock screens.
Never really look at this as pure black is the most battery efficient and easiest to view.
