why does it take so long to take a picture on my Samsung Galaxy Core

When I try to take a picture with my Samsung Galaxy Core phone it pauses several seconds before taking the picture. When researching the problem it appears I am suppose to turn my picture stabilization off but that is not a choice in my camera settings. What do I do now?

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data. Follow the steps in this video, but instead of selecting Wipe Data/Factory Reset, make sure you select Wipe Cache Partition. When complete, then select Reboot System Now.
