Why does my device keep saying that there is a problem communicating with the Google server?

I just got a Samsung galaxy mega. I tried to log in to my Google account to access Google play, Play Music, etc. Every single time I have tried to log in to the Google account it says, "There was a problem communicating with Google servers. Please try again later." I tried multiple accounts and none of them worked.

Welcome to the forums. Google's servers do go down on occasion, whether intentionally or not. Can you access Google's services using a PC and your online account? Are you able to access other web based sites from the mega?
