Why does my Do Not Disturb keep blocking my alarms?

I've seen a lot of questions about DND settings changing but none have addressed my issue. I have my Do Not Disturb function set to allow media and alarms to override DND. But at apparently random intervals, the settings change by themselves so that alarms can't override. This is causing a lot of problems with my alarms being blocked. I know the DND setting are the problem as my alarm app notifies me that an alarm was blocked by Do Not Disturb and when I go into settings, sure enough, they've changed to only allow media, not alarms.

Why does this happen and more importantly, how can I stop it? I can't figure out anything that correlates with it like updates or resets. The alarms work fine most of the time but sometimes after a few days, sometimes a few months, it just changes again. I have an S21+

Are you using the default Samsung clock app or another alarm app?

If you long press the alarm app then tap info>notifications>categories>tap each catagory to bring up my screenshot and at the bottom toggle to override DND

I don't see how Safe Mode can help since it's an intermittent issue and I can't identify when the problem started

I'm using another alarm app, called Alarm Clock Beyond

Thank you. I checked this, and the setting to override DND was already correctly set

It be that the 3rd party alarm app doesn't work with DND , try the stock one

I really don't think that's the issue.
The app alarm works fine with DND and my alarms work 95% of the time. The problem I'm describing is that periodically, without warning or connection to any changes I'm aware of, the android DND settings change by themselves to not allow alarms. Not the app settings, the phone's settings under "Notifications > Do Not Disturb > alarms and sounds".

I moved this to Samsung s21 forums for specific traffic

Ive seen members complain about DND not working like its supposed to then say the next update fixed it and another 2 updates broke it again

In the setting app, use the search button and type do not disturb to get to the settings for DND. Select the apps from the exceptions and add the app you want to use.

That's true -- if it's only occasional, then Safe Mode can be unfeasible. I wasn't sure how frequently it was happening, based on your original post.
