Why does my finger have a follower?

About a week ago there started to be a dot where I place my finger on my screen. I don't recall having had seen this before. Is this a Note issue or maybe some app I use had an update?

Go into your Settings > Developer options > do you have Show touches checked? If so, uncheck it & it'll go away.

Thanks! I constantly have to turn "stay awake" back on. I must have clicked that while in that menu.
