Why does my Galaxy S5 pop up my browser to Googleplay login every time I open my phone?

Android Central Question

I have a Samsung S5. The OS is up to date. I use the Samsung Internet Beta browser. I have removed every Google app I can find, and set the rest to no notifications. Still, every time I unlock my screen with a fingerprint, the phone slows to a crawl while it pops up the browser to the Google account login page. I can't even make a call until it's done. How can I make it stop doing that? My wife has the same phone, and hers doesn't do it. I don;t even have a Google account, and I never will.

I think it's possible to skip that, but in general, using an Android device without a Google account can be limiting to a certain extent.

I tried to post a screenshot and link, but my post disappeared. It's the login for Googleplay, as far as I can tell. It wants my Google login, which I do not have, and even if I did I don't want them popping my browser up and demanding it when all I want to do is make a phone call or check the weather. I will post the link separately in case the mods are killing it, so that this post won't be thrown out with it.
