Why does my Galaxy S6 reject my thumbprint but still unlock?

Since the latest update, I very often have to try multiple times to unlock with my already trained thumbprints. When it fails, there is a vibration. Sometimes, on the last attempt, it vibrates but still unlocks. On other occasions, it succeeds on the first try without vibration. Is my phone unlocking by accident sometimes when it shouldn't?

BTW, I also notice that I can sometimes unlock the phone with my other fingers even though I have only trained my two thumbs.

Have you already tried wiping the cache partition? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21095

Wiping the cache partition seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!
