Why does my Galaxy S9+ screen turn on randomly by itself?

[Android Central Question]

I don't understand the issue, but the past two weeks my phone screen has been turning itself on when I have no notifications at all. It's like I pressed my home button, and stays on for the same amount of time. I haven't installed any new apps recently for this to happen. I don't have "Lift to wake", "Smart Stay", or the "Easy Screen Turn on". It isn't my case that is pushing on the buttons. It's not charging to 100%, as it turns on when it isn't plugged in. It's not my SD card. I've tried restarting my phone. I'm totally lost.

I would try this in safe mode see if still happening

Great! Have you confirmed that the screen stopped turning on after removing the cards?

Not yet, because it happened pretty rarely. I'm leaving my case off for a while and it hasn't happened yet, but it might!
