Horrific Battery life

I have a HTC First Facebook phone and even when idle it somehow drains from 100% to 0%and im sick and tired of this damn battery i will be in the middle of a phone call no low battery warning and i will shut off and die and it the Sharp Aquos Crystal like this i am getting one soon but is there a way for my battery to last long i will us instagram while the battery at 100% and in 15 minutes im at 20% this is my new thread my old one was posted as guest

Looks like it deleted all your punctuation as well. I'd send it back but since it came out in 2013, I'd say you probably just need a new battery. I personally expect any battery to drain from 100% to 0%, even on those newfangled Samsung phones.
You could also shut off sync so it only checks for new messages/Facebook posts when you tell it to instead of every 30 seconds... that'd probably help more.
