My HTC one shows an odd graphic during incoming calls...

IMG_5290[1].jpg
I've noticed on more than one occasion that my HTC one (sprint) shows an odd graphic that looks like its from the 1980's. In very block lettering it displays the time, temperature and a crude blocky phone graphic with a red arrow above it. I've also noticed another screen with the persons name show up.

I've also noticed my phone acting slowly where when I text, each letter input has a slight delay.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

thanks

Welcome to Android Central! That's the Dot View, that should only be appearing if you have the Dot View Case: HTC DOT VIEW Specs and Reviews | HTC United States.

Dot View is probably being activated inadvertently by a nearby magnet. That's how the Dot View case works--there is a small magnet embedded in the case's cover, which is detected by a sensor in one of the phone's bezels. When the sensor detects it's close, it assumes the Dot View case's cover is closed, and therefore activates Dot View.

Thanks. That makes sense as I was putting my phone down on my laptop CPU.

Thanks
