LG G3 Continues to reboot or just flash the LG Powered by Android screen

My phone is stuck in some sort of loop and keeps appearing to restart, then it just flashes the startup screen repeatedly until it dies. The battery is draining at a rate of 3-5% a minute. Started when the auto-push update happened about a week ago. I was able to get to the Factory Reset option screen, but I do not want to perform that because don't want to lose my data. There was no option for clearing cache partition.

If you can access recovery I would suggest a factory reset and see if that helps. You'll lose data, but hopefully that'll get you booted and the phone usable again.

Power off the phone and hold volume down+power. It's a little tricky, so take a look at the many youtube videos to see what the trick is.
