Re: why does my phone keep displaying sorry, unfortunately google search has stopped

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone?

I did a voice search on my phone then suddenly, I'm constantly getting a "Sorry Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped" I'm forced to click ok... Keep getting it every time I touch my screen..I tried restarting, turning off and removing battery..... No luck! Message continues... Is this a virus?? I have the LGMS769 phone... How can I fix this?

I'm having the exact same issue after trying to use speech to text that msg comes up whenever I open any app. I'm attempting to update my phone now and I have rebooted as well. I have an LGP769

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11126

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.

I can not add a contact, can not get to the keypad screen to type in informatio, keep getting Message Sorry! Unfortunately Google Search has Stopped.

Welcome to Android Central! There was a recent update to the Google Search app, so make sure yours is up to date. Go the Play Store, search for the Google app, and see if there's an Update button.

I got an LGMS500, about 1 year old maybe.
It started on 9/25/2015. I don't use the voice option, but who knows what triggered it.
I went into (phone) Settings --> Storage --. apps --> google Search --> Clear Data --> Ok.
Do, clear cache as well, just in case.
RESTART PHONE.

good as new :D

I am using a Nabi tablet. I am having the same problem. I cannot get to settings, though, because I can't even log into Mommy mode. The keyboard will not appear, because the message keeps coming up every time I try to enter my password. Should I reboot? Take it into a store, maybe?

Welcome to Android Central! This is an old thread, and you only gave the name of a phone. Are you having the exact same problem as the OP? Have you already tried what's been discussed in this thread?
