Why does my phone keeps stopping my keyboard?

Hello, I'd like to report an issue with my phone. I have a Huawei P8-Lite. Model Number: ALE-L21. The keyboard on the phone goes off if there is less 5% memory in the phone. Well this happens to me all the time, even though I don't have any apps opened. Or simply the keyboard goes off while I text without even showing on screen that I have less than 5% memory. I cleared the cache, but I still encounter this issue. The phone was bought 1 month ago as well. What happened?
