Why does my Pokedex only go up to Dragonair 148?

My pokedex only goes up to dragonair number 148 yet my friends game goes up to at least 150? Does this mean I can't get dragonite?? I want the full pokedex like everyone else, please help!!

It only goes up as high as you've seen or caught. So you haven't seen or caught a dragonite therefore your pokedex doesn't go that high.

Good Question, Dragonite, is considered one of the 'Legendary' Pokemon. While it isn't quite legendary as the 3 birds its still considered 'very rare'. So it won't show up on your Pokedex until you have either;

A) Seen It
B) Caught It
C) Evolved your Dragonair.

Your friend's Pokédex can't go up to 150 because 150 is Mewtwo which isn't yet available in the game.
