Why does my Samsung Galaxy S6 have camera focus struggle and a buzzing/hissing noise?

Samsung Galaxy S6 Camera Focus Struggle and Buzzing/Hissing noise

Hello! I've had my Samsung Galaxy S6 since launch and everything has been fine up until the past few days or so when everytime I open up either the camera or snapchat, the phone makes a weird buzzing sound that only stops once I tap to focus. It makes the noise everytime I re-open the app, the camera also struggles to focus on occasions but is fine most of the time. Just wanted to know if there was anything to fix this or whether it was a hardware issue? Open to suggestion!

(P.S, already tried a cache wipe... didn't do anything)

I think I have this issue too when I go into camera or when I use Snapchat this happens

Sounds like the image stabilization gyro is faulty . Or definatly a mechanical part is failing or has failed in the camera itself. If it was me I would definatly take it back we're you bought it and show them was going on. I highly dought it's just a software problem causing the camera to make noises.

So strange. This also just started happening with my AT&T S6 yesterday. Sometimes a short buzz, sometimes a long vibration. And it also seems to be worse when the phone is running hot. Hasn't hampered my camera usage, but definitely doesn't sound good and I have a feeling it's going to break eventually.

I had this issue on my s6 edge. It began a couple weeks after i bought it.

Noise and focus issues happened more with low light.

Luckily they have a samsung galaxy studio store in NY and they serviced it on the spot. Dropped it off, they replaced the ois and i picked up in an hour. At first, they said i had to hard reset. I told them it wasn't a software issue and they serviced it.

One note, they warned me that the machine that they used to hold/open the phone could reset it adn i should back it up. I took the chance and luckily, all my data was intact (it would have been a pain to get IT to re-do my work mail.)

Mine just started doing this as well. When I open Snapchat sometimes the camera will buzz and the image on screen will flicker. Only for a second though.

My facebook messenger makes a weird buzzing noise too. Thankfully it's only happened twice

When it makes a hissing noise when it's not supposed to it is extremely unsettling

It made a hissing sound going up in pitch when I was exiting out of facebook messenger. Thankfully it has only happened twice in the whole month so far that I have had the phone

Noticed mine has started doing this about 2 weeks or so ago. Only the back camera and mostly only when I open Snapchat. I does it when opening the regular camera app sometimes too.

Mine has also been doing this...the screen looks wavy (think looking outside super humid day, 10x worse). If I hit focus a few times it goes away.

Mine is going this occasionally as well. I don't use snap chat. I thought it was normal, as if the lense was adjusting or something.

I have the Samsung sensor.

I noticed on mine looked like there was a film over it. Went by a sprint store today and ask about it sure enough there was a thin piece of plastic over the camera and another over the flash it is very hard to see. Might have a focus problem thru it.
