Why does my Samsung note 3 keep shutting off when dropped?

My Samsung galaxy note 3 is fairly old and has some physical damage to it, including a cracked screen and a chipped/scrapped frame, and every time it takes a light hit to the upper half of the front side of the phone, it reboots itself, is there anyway I can solve this problem?

A bad connection somewhere, perhaps?

It may be a hardware issue due drops or other reasons. I recommend you go to a shop nearby, and get it fixed. Also, Just in case anything would happen, i recommend having/making a backup ASAP.
