Why does my Samsung Tab 2 say error no connection?

I did a factory reset on a Galaxy Tab 2. When setting it up, it wouldnt let me set up a samsung account, it said there was an error. It let me connect my google account. Now I have an Error no connection icon but my wifi is connected and i can surf the web. Also my play store will not work and I cannot not update anything because of that. I was able to access some games from my google account but it says they are not supported on this device. Is this tablet just too old to update and use? It worked fine before doing the factory update.

That's a very old tablet, most likely not compatible anymore due to old Android version.

Welcome to Android Central! Such an outdated device is no longer current with modern web security protocols. It's time to get a newer, more modern device.

Good intentions by your Aunt but search around u probably can get some good deals on tablets
