Why does my SD card make my tablet freeze and then malfunction?

My tablet is Lenovo A7-30, whenever I insert my 32GB sd card, it recognizes it but when I try to access my files, my tablet freezes so I remove it. If I go to settings, it would show as if my card's still inserted but with 0bytes displayed. When I turn it off, it won't turn back on unless I disconnect its battery (it's nonremovable, I just unplug it). I wonder whether it is hardware's or software's problem. I'm pretty confident that my sd card isn't damaged or anything. It has no problem before. Hope someone could help me. Thank you!

Welcome to Android Central! Use SD Insight to see if the card is valid or counterfeit. If it's valid, insert the card into your computer and run chkdsk to look for bad sectors: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...guide-using-chkdsk-fix-corrupted-sd-card.html
