Why does my Sony Z3 Compact shut down on its own since I upgraded to Lollipop?

Bought my Z3C two weeks ago, loved it. Upgraded to Lollipop 2 days ago. Since then, my Z3C keeps shutting down on its own accord after about 5 - 10 minutes, and I cannot get it back on for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour after each shut down episode. What's the deal Android?

Have you tried a Cache Partition wipe? It's good practice to do that after a system software update.
