Why does my speaker phone randomly shut off during calls?

Speaker phone randomly shuts off during call.

Ive seen people complain about speaker phone automatically being on when they answer the phone. However my problem is sort of the opposite. When I am on a call and using speakerphone is randomly shuts off. I dont realize it until its the other persons turn to talk and I can hardly hear them.
Any ideas?

do you have any issues playing youtube etc or playing your ringtone off your speaker? or is it only during calls it shuts off? and can you turn it back on no problem?
