Android Central Question
Any paused audio (including stored, offline music) starts to play again (resumes) when I connect to WiFi. Also any playing audio pauses when I connect to WiFi. I've worked with Sirius XM support and Samsung support who don't know why this is happening, and both point back to Android as the culprit. This happens with data on and aggressive switching also, so the network connection stays live, but when my Note 5 connects to any new WiFi network, all playback either stops or resumes. There is some PLAY command that is being triggered on a connect event that, if something is already playing, will be recognized a PAUSE. I can make this happen at will by playing music, turning WiFi off, and turning it back on. When it connects, music is paused. What is happening?
