Why does Textra use 192+ MB?

Re: Textra users...

Correct and correct. The customization was a little annoying but it's back to how it was. And deleting the conversations was simple but, yes. Did have to clear away both

That second part is a head scratcher.

I know. I was surprised after clearing the data... Textra started as if it was the first time. It got started. Then all of a sudden it began loading all my messages. Took about 2 minutes to complete. Once I saw that I manually went in and deleted all

I like that you can delete multiple conversations at the same time. Makes it much easier.

Oh, I think with the description I get it now. The messages were stored on the server. If you had deleted those first and then the data, rather than the other way around, I assume you would have had no messages when you restarted and set up Textra. Although I'm still not 100% certain of that given the big data totals even with no messagea active in Textra.

Yea you may be right about that.. My assumed clearing all data/settings/customizations etc would have included clearing the existing messages. In any event, like it was said above, selecting multiple conversations at once simplifies things

I too delete conversations but not that frequently. I'd say i really only text 3 people regularly. I did have several conversations open but many only include a few messages. Guess I never really paid too much attention to how much data this app uses.

Update : I deleted my months and months of conversations and reloaded textra and now only have a days worth of texts and conversations and it's like 15 mb now.

The massive amount of texts I had was what did it.
