Re: exclamation alert on group message

It signifies that some or all of the message was not sent. It could be that you were in a poor signal area while trying to send and some of the messages were not sent, or could not be sent. Even though these may have been SMS messages I've found that I have better luck when sending from a 3G or 4G area. Perhaps it's just that when you have 3G or 4G you naturally have a strong cellular signal??? This is usually my issue but you can also get it if you try to send messages to a land line.

First make sure you are in a strong signal area.

Make sure all recipients are cellular.

And the easiest way to know who got what went or who got theirs is to go into your settings and set your outgoing group messages to send as individual threads. This will create a conversation for each person. The other advantage to this, for me anyway, is that when you begin to get replies only you get the reply and not everyone. I see a lot of complaints about unwanted replies when included in a group message, unless that is your goal. In which case doing this once may at least point out where you issue lies if it lies in one or more of your recipients.
